Blast hits Zamboanga City airport; 1 dead
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) via ABS-CBN News - One person was reported dead after an explosion outside the arrival area of the Zamboanga City Airport on Thursday evening.
An initial report said the explosion occurred at around 6 p.m..
Six were injured in the blast, and were immediately brought to the hospital.
An eyewitness said that a Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight from Manila was scheduled to arrive at 5:30pm, but was delayed and arrived at around 6:10pm.
Most of the passengers were still inside the airport when the blast occurred.
Some government officials and foreigners were reportedly among the passengers of the flight.
